Little River Medical Center Foundation

Our Mission

The Little River Medical Center Foundation is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the benevolent and humanitarian work of the Little River Medical Center and to sustain it through annual financial support. As the official fundraising and donor stewardship arm of the Little River Medical Center, the Foundation develops charitable resources to enhance the Health Center’s capital improvements, programs, special projects, and build an endowment to provide financial security for the future.

Our Vision

Our vision is to gain community support for the Little River Medical Center through fund development to increase and expand the Little River Medical Home Safety net services to all residents: employed, retired, underinsured, uninsured, unserved, unemployed vulnerable populations that have difficulty securing health coverage or paying for medical and dental services. Through fund development from the Foundation, we will continue to provide high quality health care services in the most professional, cost-effective, efficient, and compassionate manner.

Our Objectives

The Foundation will solicit financial support by educating the community and community leaders of the pressing needs for the services provided by the Little River Medical Center. Through our Capital Campaign we plan to completely renovate and to significantly expand our main Medical Center site sustaining our services, programs, building, and transportation services across the Waccamaw region.

Our Goals

With support from the Foundation we will provide a continuum of care for most primary medical and dental needs that includes pharmacy, x-ray, lab services, and health education. We will meet the rapidly expanding, underserved populations of the Waccamaw region to sustain, and be prepared for future growth.
